Living a joyful and fulfilling life can seem like an impossible dream, but as your Life Coach I'm here to tell you that it is in fact possible for you, and I'm here to help you to tap into it.
Our culture has taught us that our level of happiness and fulfillment is directly related to success and achievement, yet even once we have checked the boxes of what we were "supposed to do" to be happy, we still aren't. In fact many of the wealthiest and most successful people (by cultural standards) are not fulfilled, and continue to use achievement and status in an attempt to fill them up - yet are seldom satiated.
Living joyfully and in fulfillment happens when we stop chasing the idea that we will find it when we get or achieve __________ (fill in the blank). The job, the car, the house, the guy, the vacation, the promotion, the accolades... Think about the last time you were feeling joy or happiness, and then try and recall how long that feeling lasted.
Not long enough, right? Soon enough we are out there seeking the next thing to achieve or acquire that will have us feeling that again. And then once again it fades, never staying in our grip for long enough. Next thing you know you're living your life in a loop. The "things" you acquire or achieve change over time, but the happiness is always fleeting which has you always chasing.
Here's the thing, finding joy and fulfillment requires us to look through a different lens and identify what actually brings US joy.
It requires us to go inward and get a better idea of who we really are - to get beneath the surface of what we believe is possible for us, so we can begin to understand why we keep getting trapped in some version of that same loop. Why our happiness never seems to stick, and why we keep chasing something we've never really been able to hold onto for very long.
The practice of living a joyful life requires us to shift our thoughts - to transform what we believe about ourselves, and begin making choices that allow us to align with who WE really are and how we want to FEEL, instead of who who we thing we HAVE to be. It requires us to become aware of what we are choosing and believing about us, so we can truly begin to live.
This is what I am here to do. To guide you begin to trust YOU more. To follow what is right for you and build your confidence to go after more of what tugs at you, and do less of what drains you.
I know how tough it is to stretch your wings. How hard it is to get out of your comfort zone. How much courage it takes to tread in new and unfamiliar waters. And above everything else, how tough it is when the people closest to you don't understand why you want to change, or feel the tug to do things differently. I also know how important it is to have the right people in your corner. Not the naysayers, not the doubters. Not the ones who tell you your ideas are crazy. But instead those who encourage you to lean into them. Those who cheer you on, and really see you and your efforts in becoming more of who you really are, without the restraints of expectations or comparisons.
This is why I created the Joy Project Community, and offer one-to-one coaching. I wanted to provide support to women in their pursuit to living more joyful and fulfilling lives so they can see themselves more clearly for who they truly are, and start living in a way that fills their cup.
